All wetlands are protected by law and people are required to avoid building on wetlands, filling them in, or otherwise impacting wetlands. Only a professional wetland delineator can verify wetlands and establish their boundaries. Some of the steps of a wetland survey include preliminary site visits and research, wetland delineation, mapping of areas that will fall under wetland permit requirements, and preparing or assisting with site development designs that meet development goals without harming wetlands or streams.
